SOUTH BEND, Ind. – USL Youth hosted its first Midwest neutral site event of the 2025 season last weekend at Indiana Invaders Complex. Twenty-five clubs from across the region participated in the games between Friday and Sunday.
A unique part of this neutral site event was a USL League Two match between Northern Indiana FC and Union FC Macomb. All participating USL Youth players and families were invited to Northern Indiana’s season finale, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Players for Northern Indiana signed autographs for many eager young fans after the match.
The weekend’s events show off how connected the USL’s pathway is in local communities across the country, providing a pipeline from elite youth competition to pre-professional clubs and beyond to professional ranks.
USL Youth is excited to host two more neutral site events in the Midwest. Sylvania, Ohio will be the site of this weekend’s event. The weekend of July 26-27, USL Youth will hold its final neutral site of 2025 in Waukegan, Illinois.
