TAMPA, Fla. – With summer officially underway, millions across the United States are consuming soccer here at home from the very highest levels to the grassroots origins that grow the sport. A cornerstone of the summer calendar entering its 28th season, USL Youth will see over 15,000 players competing in one of the foundational platforms of soccer development in America.
For the 2026 season, USL Youth has expanded to 96 clubs across six divisions in 13 states, providing boys and girls from the U10 through U19 age groups with unique competition and development opportunities.
The league runs its season from May to August, strategically operating during other competitions’ traditional offseason to complement clubs’ existing calendars and connect them to the USL’s broader ecosystem. The summer programming also incentivizes further development for the players looking for year-round opportunities to play in high-level competition.
During the 2026 season, USL Youth will host six Neutral Site events, bringing together an array of clubs from within a division to play multiple games in one weekend. The Midwest Division will have four Neutral Sites in Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, and Indiana between late June and late July. The Northeast Division will gather in Connecticut from June 27-28, followed by the North Atlantic Division, which will see 21 clubs meet on Long Island from July 25-26.
The top performers across the country in the U11 and above age groups will receive a bid to the 2026 Electrolit USL Youth Finals, allowing them to compete for a national title from Tampa, Florida, in December.
