LEESBURG, Va. & TAMPA, Fla. — The United Soccer League announced today that Loudoun United FC, in collaboration with Virginia Revolution, will join USL Youth for the 2026 season, further strengthening the club’s commitment to providing elite youth players with a clear, professional pathway for long-term development. The program will compete in both boys’ and girls’ divisions from U10 through U19.
For players and families, participation in USL Youth means access to a competitive, professionally aligned summer platform that emphasizes both development and opportunity. USL Youth is built to elevate the youth player experience by inspiring, educating, and engineering players throughout their soccer journey, connecting them to a broader ecosystem of clubs and experiences within the United Soccer League.
“Together with Virginia Revolution, we are proud to offer USL Y this coming summer,” said Karl Sharman, President and CEO of Loudoun United FC. “At Loudoun United, our focus is on identifying the top young players in the region and providing them the opportunity to represent the club by wearing the Loudoun United badge.”
Players in USL Youth benefit from high-level competition against regional and national opponents, exposure to advanced game-day environments, and the opportunity to compete for a spot at the annual USL Youth Finals, a marquee event that offers a tournament-style national championship experience in Florida each December.
By joining as part of Loudoun United FC’s program, players will train and compete under licensed coaches within a professional club framework, gaining experience on premier local facilities like RavenTek and Segra Field while wearing the club crest, all designed to support technical growth, tactical understanding, and confidence in competition.
Players interested in joining the program can now register for tryouts, which will take place in January and February 2026.
