TAMPA, Fla. – USL Youth hosted three neutral site events in its Midwest Division, showcasing talent and growth across the league’s age groups.
Complexes in South Bend, Ind., Sylvania, Ohio, and Waukegan, Ill. hosted 574 matches over three weekends in July. Over 150 teams participated, and 3,154 goals were scored during the action-packed events.
The first weekend, hosted at the Indiana Invaders Sports Complex, saw the addition of USL League Two action as Northern Indiana FC hosted Union FC Macomb.
“This year’s neutral sites are a testament to the growth and competitiveness of USLY,” said USL Youth Director of Operations Michael Jacoby Jr. “We saw hundreds of competitive games displaying a tremendous amount of player development. To cap that all off with a League Two game in Indiana highlights the pathway the players are on, which is extremely special.”
