Along with the summer of soccer coming to a close, the 2026 USL Youth regular season ended after an exciting campaign saw 2,974 games played across the country.
USL Youth continued to grow this year, with teams playing in 13 states after adding new Northeast and SoCal Divisions and 22 new clubs. Overall, 14,197 players took the field for 810 teams in six divisions across the league’s 11 age groups.
USL Youth also hosted six neutral site events split across three divisions this season. The Midwest gathered in Michigan, Illinois, Ohio, and Indiana across four weekends, while the Northeast and North Atlantic each hosted one neutral site.
Focus will now shift to the 2026 Electrolit USL Youth Finals, set for December 10-14 in Tampa, Florida. 156 teams across the U11-U19 age groups from across the country will qualify for the five-day tournament based on the regular-season standings.
“The 2026 season was a truly special year for USL Youth, and we are incredibly grateful to every player and family who chose to be part of our journey,” said Michael Jacoby Jr., USL Youth Director of Operations. “This year, we welcomed more players than any point in the past decade, expanded our reach with the launch of the SoCal and Northeast Divisions, and created new opportunities for players to experience high-level competition through nearly 3,000 regular-season games across the league as a whole. While these milestones are exciting, what means the most to us is the continued trust and commitment of the families and players who make this platform what it is.”
