TAMPA, Fla. – The United Soccer League (USL) announced the new clubs that will join USL Youth for the 2026 season over the past three months.
22 new clubs will field teams across six divisions in USL Youth which is now home to 96 unique clubs across the country, offering a competitive platform for U10-U19 players from May-August.
“By bringing USL Youth to Stars FC, it reflects our commitment to innovation and opportunity,” said Cheryl Myers, Director of Coaching for Tri-State Stars FC, who will join the new Northeast Division. “As the soccer landscape shifts, offering something unique in our region, strengthens players education, broadens competitive exposure, and ensure our athletes have access to pathways that set them apart.”
The additions include professional clubs like Loudoun United FC and Hartford Athletic, whose teams will fuse into a connected pathway linked to its first team in the USL Championship, alongside established youth clubs who are expanding the programming it offers its players.
“Our time as a Super Y League club was very productive, and players from those teams went on to enjoy success in college and beyond,” said Director of Coaching Frank Zimmerman, whose Oceanside Breakers will participate in the new SoCal Division. “We are eager to be playing in a high-level youth league, and our players and coaches look forward to earning our way to [Finals] and the exposure to upward pathways membership in the USL Youth provides.”
